Posted October 5, 200618 yr comment_184814 Hello from Michigan. We have a 260z which we're anxious to start restoring. Luckily, it's in pretty good shape. Interior needs more work than the body. As usual, the dash is unusable. Will a 76 280z dash fit my 260? Thanks for any and all advice. October 5, 200618 yr comment_184815 Welcome to the site! Is your 260Z early or late? Basically does it have the smaller 240Z type bumpers or the larger 280Z type bumpers? If it has the larger bumpers, I believe that the 76 dash would fit. October 5, 200618 yr comment_184825 Stephen,Even the skinny bumpered 260Z will accept the 280Z dash. I have a dash that was removed from an early 260Z with skinny bumpers and it is sitting next to my '78 280Z dashboard and they are the same. Even the skeletal frame is the same. The guages and such are not so be sure to swap them. October 5, 200618 yr Author comment_184831 It's the early model. Good news about the dash fit, that makes it a bit easier. An original dash that's not cracked is hard to find, and usually priced to reflect that. Thank you very much. October 5, 200618 yr comment_184838 Thanks, Bob. I know that there is that mid year change on the 260 and that some items are 240ish and some are 280ish.
