Posted October 6, 200618 yr comment_184902 I am ordering some stickers from Banzai and want to place them as accurately as possible on the car. The previous stickers are totally gone from my Z so I could use some measurements and pictures to help with placement. Here is what I am getting: DE-02 Anti freeze info decal DE-07 Tune-up/emissions decal DE-09 OK/final inspection sticker DE-10 NIHON radiator decal (on backorder) My car is build date 11/70. Can I ask you guys to help me with measurements and pictures. For example, it would be useful to know on the tune up/emissions sticker (see attached pic) how many inches from the top of the inside of the opened hood the top of the sticker is. Pictures are even better. Thanks!!!! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21827-help-with-exact-sticker-placement/ Share on other sites

October 6, 200618 yr comment_184919 Here's a shot of the anti-freeze decal, not straight on, but the decal isn't straight either. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21827-help-with-exact-sticker-placement/#findComment-184919 Share on other sites

I mounted my new labels on some very thin magnetic sheets that I bought at an ofice supply store. When I am not showing the car, I keep them stored safely in the glove compartment to keep them clean. When I need them, I just take them out to f the envelope and place them exactly where they need to go. The only draw back is the Nihon one won't stick because the radiator is brass. I just use some Scotch tape under it for that spot.Confirming the exact location is a little easier when you can move it around. My 2 cents!Marty Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21827-help-with-exact-sticker-placement/#findComment-184959 Share on other sites
October 6, 200618 yr Author comment_184960 That's a great idea. My car is FAR from a show car but these little details are fun and magnets might be cool.Which window and where in the window does the OK sticker go? October 6, 200618 yr comment_184967 That's a great idea. My car is FAR from a show car but these little details are fun and magnets might be cool.Which window and where in the window does the OK sticker go?It goes on the lower right hand corner of the passenger side quarter window. I don't know if there are any precise measurements on where it is supposed to go. I believe it was a final quality check approval that was just slapped on before the car was shipped. Back in the day I seem to remember seeing those stickers put on pretty ****-eyed. So unless one of the resident restoration gurus chimes in, I would say anywhere in that general area would do close enough. I basically guessed on mine. October 6, 200618 yr comment_184972 The magnet idea is good. More pics of where each one goes would be helpful if anyone has them.Zak Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21827-help-with-exact-sticker-placement/#findComment-184972 Share on other sites
October 6, 200618 yr comment_184975 Which window and where in the window does the OK sticker go? My first post contained a link to another post where I talked about the placement of the OK decal. In addtion, here is a jpeg of a note Mike at Banzai Motorworks sent me when I asked the same question. October 6, 200618 yr comment_184979 Just as a point of interest, I believe that the OK sticker was put on by the dealership. I guess not all dealerships put these on new cars. When I purchased my car in 71 from the dealer, the OK sticker was not on affixed to the quarter window.
