anyone have wiring diagrams for the light switch and signal switch for a 71 240Z on the net? if i can get them printed out then my friend said he could help with my problem as he is very good with that stuff..

Don't know how well this pic is but it's a wiring diagram from a 73 datsun 240z manual transmission. From what I know the 73 is not that much different from the others, just make sure you have the right colored wires. Picture is kinda blurry on the outside edges but let me know if you can see it.
