I have a 80 ZX with a 5 speed I'm parting out if you are interested. Will give you trans mount with it you'll need it. This was drivin car 4 months ago. I did this in mine out of a 82 ZX. I'll give you all of it with flywheel which you also need for $150 and shipping. Just need a few days to get it out of car. Also you might want the 3.9 rear gear that would make it work well.

Good luck with finding one of those.......... You're better off just grabbing a 5 spd from an 81-83 280ZX.

Grab a 3.90 diff to go with it. The ID plate in the engine compartment is a great way to id the proper diff assuming it hasn't been changed. These are designated as RC39 on the tag. RC37 for the 3.70, etc.

Why are you specifying a T5? They are stronger, but they shift like a truck transmission, unless you are after a replacement for a T5 or have big power, I would think you would be happier with one of the other 5 speeds out of a Z or ZX.

Will

All of these are listed as T5, but call to be sure.

Thanks for the information. I'm curious how you generated that list. It looks like a cool tool. Once I have my car together, I should be producing between 325 to 375 rwHP (based on similar setups) and I've been told that I can put a different shifter on the transmission to make it smooth (Datsun Garage). Besides, the ratios seem more appropriate for a turbo. I'm not missing something in this rational am I?

I am setting up the turbo situation as well, but my car will only see the track twice a year, so I am sticking with the lightest weight and more common parts-Though I am expecting more horsepower. I am not out to beat everone, just occasionally suprise a few...badly.

WIll
