Does anyone know more about the history of these Bob Sharp cars?

Certainly an interesting vehicle, but get a load of those performance claims! I wonder how much HP this car really puts down? It looks like the stock Fuel Injection system!

Also look at the absurd claim of how fast this car has gone:

I think the coolest car on ebay at this moment is our own members:

Talk about a cool ride, I would think this is the fastest of the three cars for sure.

Considering the fact that it was called "a great car to restore", the car probably never saw 165mph, or a "4 wheel independent pozzitraction suspension", A car seriously modified into a 165mph race carwould probably not be a great car to restore because of the modifications involved. Add to that a distinct lack of pictures, and the fact that the car has all of the stuff a racer would have gotten rid of, and none of the stuf a racer would have added (wide/large wheels, harness, roll cage, large open exhaust, etc...), and the fact that the racing parts offered by Nissan Comp(5speed and rear end) in 1973 were not designed for that kind of speed, and I think a pattern forms here. The car may well have been used as a pace car, and the plaque can attest to that, but the rest of the "mods" and history were at best probably a father to son story...Granted the car could have been changed back along the way, but that is not in the story presented in the ad.

WIll
