Fender Flares - Metal, Fiberglass or Carbon?

My son and I are trying to find fender flares for our 240z. We found the following:

1. Metal ones at Black Dragon

2. Fiberglass at Motosport Autos

3. Carbon Fiber (ZG)

Don't really like the look of the screws on the ZG. We want to be able to put wider tires on it to run it on the local tracks. Do the MSA flares last? Do they crack over time? Is it common for them to plain break? We would like to do this once. Hopefully this isn't a duplicate thread. We searched for hours. Thanks for the help.

I believe MSA no longer sells any flares other than the ZGs, and maybe not even those. The metal flares are a modified VW Beetle flare, and they don't add much clearance for wider tires. I think the ZGs actually add more room for tires than the metal ones.

I really liked the MSA "street flares" and would like to figure out where those molds went...

Man I just love toecutter's car.

I didn't know that MSA doesn't sell flares anymore, I guess I should make a mold of what I have.

Here is a company that bought Arizona Z cars' molds.

They have a set similar to the MSA street flares and are closer to what the old CP cars had. Their shape is like what member Tom Holt has on his auto-x car.

Another possible source is what Steve in Fresno uses on his car. This is old information but maybe still good. "Ian and I are running MAS Racing Products flares. They're in St. Paul MN

651-644-6811. They are fiberglass - very thin - we're using rear flares in both the front and back. The front flares they sell will not work with a 10 inch rim."

The car looks awesome! The shape and size of the ZG flares are perfect. I'd just like to achieve a uni-tone look. Maybe fiberglass is the only way to get that. So the question comes down to function vs. aesthetics.
No reason the ZG flares can't be painted to match...

I do believe this is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I was even worried about the front flare width. Thanks Steve!!!
