Datsun 240Z S30 RH Parts Catalogue

It may be a good idea to compile a list of both LHD and RHD editions of the parts books which were made. I have recently purchased a RHD copy dated December 1972 and it shows as being the third revision (assume to the RHD specific cars).

Has anyone else seen this set of mircrofiche copies on eBay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=009&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=190041182265&rd=1,1

It appears to just be copies of the microfiche that someone has printed and bound with a plastic spiral binder. The bidding is at $103.01 for this, and that seems kind of high to me for something that is just a book of bound copies. I wonder if this is due to confusion over the actual dealer parts catalogs?

Thank you everyone,I made a good purchase.

Alan gave me a homework,I am willing to learn everything related S30.

The RHD manual arrived and I am very happy it is a very good condition.

This is a FIRST OVERALL RIVISED edition, and it says 4th rivision from the bigining dated DEC 1970.I think the blue huge binder must be made in Nov 1969 as a first edition, other contents are all rivised DEC 1970 including a rivision info card which is in a side plastic pocket.A page for interior color trim instruction is dated Dec 1969,this proves the manual is revised collectly as instructed, this page is an only one should be remained from the begining.

I have a LHD Nov 1969 issued manual,it has got 1st and 2nd rivision with an original master edition. What is an amazing thing is they all exist no missing page,I mean there are Nov 1969 originals and Mar 1970 1st rivision and June 1970 2nd rivision. It is a fun to see the differences between them.

My question of steering lock has just got an answer! The RHD early 240Z has a WASO key and steering lock is different from the early JDM and LHD.I was expecting it and I see the part number for it.

It syas three color of trims black and tan and blue, but I have never seen blue trims in RHD 240Z.Has anyone seen it?

Hi Mike:

We had an IZCC club member in California that had about 100 or so hard copies printed about 10 or 12 years ago.. He sold them to the other members and on-line for about $25.00 originally. (it was Roger ???)

FWIW,

Carl B.

Congratulations KATS, well done. I am happy to see this rare book went to a you, knowing how interested you are in early S30 models, it could not find a better home. Good luck studying the detail. If you find any obscure interesting points please share them with the FORUM, I always enjoy your information when you share it with us.

cheers

Steve

I am afraid my wife will know it soon and she will get angly with it.

Kat's, Im not making fun of your english, but does anyone else see the irony in this statement and spelling? It really made me laugh as I pictured my ex's angular expression as she ranted about one of my spending sprees. ROFL
