I need to buy a gas cap for a '70 240Z. It doesn't need to be original, but it needs to fit. I saw that MSA has them for $54, but that seems a little high. Does anyone have one or know where I can find one?

P.S. I left from Chattanooga, TN and drove to Birmingham at 4AM last week and filled up on the way out. I must have left the gas cap off in a sleepy stupor (or maybe it was stolen, doubtful. yeah that's it. it was stolen.). I noticed it when I got to the 'Speedsouth Solo Shootout' event and since I had right at half a tank, I figured no gas would slosh out, so I just used a rubber band and a plastic bag and voila, a makeshift gas cap. Well, Gas did slosh out and I was disqualified since it is impossible to find a gas cap for a 240Z. I really wish I could have competed. The course was very long. The fastest time when I left was 85.xxx. I know I would have done fairly well. But there's always next month and I will definitely be there with a gas cap.

P.P.S. I was in the second group, but the first group had already finished (about 30 cars) and most likely that time wasn't beaten by much.

Too bad about the gas cap. I started to come down but have to travel for business all next week so stayed in Huntspatch to get "honey do" done :)

How did Mike C and Sparky do? (The brickyard 350 and red RX8)

Come play with us on October 29. see www.Teamtac.org for details. Course will be tight, but last time we got in 7 runs!

It may not be a stock fix for a 70, but my 73 has a chain attached to the cap and filler neck with the rubber flap absorbing any dings. Can't leave this one behind like I have others.
