October 17, 200618 yr comment_186148 Kinda high priced for used Wats? Yes...No? Notice the fronts are not even the same color as the rear. The tires, throw away items, are pretty old....heat cycled too often maybe!!? October 18, 200618 yr comment_186181 The tires, throw away items, are pretty old....heat cycled too often maybe!!?What is the basis for your assessment of the tires? Is it just speculation or is this based on some evidence apparent in the photos? October 19, 200618 yr comment_186276 I am not sure about the price comments as I have witnessed what '240ztt' had to spend to get a new set of Watanabe Type R's in a similar size and offset. I remember that the price he had to pay which did include the center caps and lug nuts was north of $2300 USD and then he had to purchase tires. For someone on the East Coast this deal might make sense because if these Watanabe Type R's are in the U.S. they are usually sitting on the West Coast or have to be ordered from Japan. These are being sold by Eiji who is also the owner of : http://www.datsunspirit.com I can at least vouch for the claims of sunny day driving and garage kept as stated in the ad. Besides they are being sold to fund the resurrection of another Datsun Z which should be reason enough? October 19, 200618 yr comment_186285 Oh...ok...that explains it all..... Adam, Funny part about those tires is that they probably do not have more than a few thousand miles on them and they were kept in a climate controlled garage. If it were me I would want to install a wider tire on those wheels as I do not like the 'stretched' look. The only problem is that nowadays todays 16" tires are like yesterday's 15" tires in the sense that oddball sizes are not readily available. Try to find a 265/45/16 or something strange like that and you will be disappointed. October 19, 200618 yr Author comment_186316 The value of those Wats is only going to go up, it's just a function of how long do you hold on to them and how well you take care of them. There is no confirmation that they are indeed straight...( give me a road force test number PLEASE) otherwise they dont know if they are straight...3. They are asking NEW PRICE for nicked up/rednecked mismatched wheels4. They are going to "throw in" the required lugnuts and centercaps that are part of the installation package the came iwth them in the first place... (gee thenks dude??? WTF!)5. I might offer him $800 and negotiate a little...6. They are stagger sizes... that is completely inappropriate for a track car... Those are mismatched bling bling ching ching...7. The TIRES!!!! gimme a break... they are trash... I wont mount a tire that is more than 2 years old... even if it is brand new... they don't last that long dude... I go through several sets a season... 8. Shipping... WTF $200... I ship wheels all over the country for under $60 a set... no matter where... this tells me this guy is an AMATURE!!! I can find a set of boxes in 10 minutes in any city.. FOR FREE!!!Gimme a break... he is going to sit on those a long damn time before he realizes how UN-desireable they really are to any serious enthusiast...
