Fuel economy tips

Some FYI...

According to the "Tornado company" (they make the Tornado air spinner things) they recommend:

--saving 100 Lbs from your car or trunck wil increase fuel economy by up to 2%.

--having stuff on the roof can decrease fuel economy by up to 5%.

I don't see how (or where) you could have 100 LBs of extra stuff in your Z...

thx

Seems to me you posted about your toolkit a while back. That would have been more than 100bls!ROFL

Other than that, you'll have to leave the girfriend at home!!!

Several members here have gotten their cars moved all across the country and hardly used any gas from their tank!Something about putting the car on the trailer behind a truck that is owned by someone else really improves gas mileage...:stupid:

My old a/c pump and stuff probably weighed 100 Lbs.

My a/c is staying too! I guess the K & N filter, air dam and rear spoiler are supposed to help with fuel economy. My car does okay for what it is. The highest I have ever achieved is 27.49 mpg. It seems to stay in the 23.5-25.5 range which is actually a little better than my daily driver 810 (21-23 with a high of 25.33). I have an 83 ZX five speed in my Z which would top your automatic's readings mpg-wise, but I don't really look upon these vehicles as economy cars. My wife's HHR averages 27-30.
