October 24, 200618 yr comment_186959 When I replaced my original throttle body with a 60 mm aftermarket unit, I had to remove the BCDD from the original and there was no provision to fit it to the new one. I left it connected to the wiring but just left it under the hood where it couldnt fall out. I never noticed any difference in how the car ran. What kind of idle problems are you encountering? October 24, 200618 yr Author comment_186963 When shifting up and down the idle remains high (2000 - 2,200) for 2 to 3 seconds before dropping down to normal (800). I've checked for vacuum leaks and can't find anything but I'm at my wits end on the idle problem. I'm trying to get the bugs worked out before my son gets his license. If I can take it out of the loop on the stock throttle body I would just as soon do that. October 24, 200618 yr comment_186980 A possible 'quick' fix would be to run a contsant hot wire to the BCDD valve thereby taking it out of the loop. Here is a couple of other sources I found a while back:http://www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=1&i=620867&t=620794#reply_620867It is in the last post.
