go to yellow pages online put "metal plating" into the search section for business type, then put tasmania into the search section for area.

5 different shops should come up.

I recently communicated with Superior Chrome Plating in Houston and from their website, they appear to be reputable. Here is a link to them:http://www.JustChromeIt.com.

They gave me an internet quote of $225-250 for the 3 piece rear bumper plus $45-55 each for the bumper guards. The price would be determined once they had them in hand and could evaluate how much cleaning and straightening was requireed.

I ended up having a local place do mine. It is going to cost more but I won't have to mess with the shipping. Hope this helps.

Most Chrome shops will do buisness via UPS shippment. That makes most of them as close to you as the UPS truck can get to your door.

If you want it done on the cheap, check out your local community colleges or trade schools.

My father had a Community college rechrome bumpers from an MG, as well as having an engine block dipped, for very, very little. It took some time, since the work was done on the student schedule, but the work was top notch.

It's certainly worth a shot.

Thanks for that zbane, I'll ask one of the teachers here (TAFE) to see If i can get this done,

240kconvertible, I did the search, 1 was in Launcestone (1 & 1/2 hour drive) and the others in Hobart (4 hour drive),

I check out the TAFE option first, since I work at one of them ..
