my 280z's rpms were fluctuating exactly like you described, i opened the hood while it was running and found that the hose going into the fuel injector was spraying a fountain of gas everywhere. that just happened a few days ago and i still need to replace that hose

Best get on that spraying fuel problem. Head on over to the parts store and get some fuel hosing that is made specifically for Fuel Injected engines. While I'm sure you already know this, from time to time the people behind the parts counter don't think about it, and just get whatever hose they have lying around-So be sure to double check that it is made for FI systems-it will say it (or should) on the hose. If you don't you will be dealing with ruptured lines and more spraying gas in no time.

Another thing to get while you are there are all new fuel clamps Don't be cheap and 1. reuse your old ones, or 2. use pipe fitting screw type clamps from WallyWorld.:finger:

Have fun playing with gas.ROFL
