It will take quite a bit of time and patience to unravel the PO's modifications. You must get a FSM for a 73, or at least a good wiring diagram. Then determine why the PO did these repairs/mods. Was he adding something or repairing something. Usally I see a PO will add a radio, or some other component and patch into cicuits pretty indiscriminally, leaving a mess. Even our local L.A. auto electrical shops wont bother tracing a wiring fault, opting to take a quick fix and string another circuit, outside of the harness.

I'm not a very good electrican, so my repairs only come after long study of the circuit and the use of lots of reference materials. I will often go to shows, to check other cars to see if I used the right wire to the right spot

I need electrical assistance in Los Angeles,CA. Does anyone know a local place they can refer me to or someone that has 240z that is knowledgable.

My car does not start and needs to be local.

Thanks in advance.

If Canoga Park isn't too far, Precision Z. They know the cars backwards and forwards. Call and talk to Ed. You can get their information off their site, precisionz.com.

Steve.
