October 31, 200618 yr comment_187836 Not really a part of the car - they were packing fixtures, much like the plastic wrap on the door panels or around the seatbelts...Which also explains why I couldn't find them on the Parts CD. They are packing material. How interesting. Now to decide -- do I remove mine, as they should have been removed long ago? Or do I leave them on as curiosities? October 31, 200618 yr comment_187843 Here is a thought...All you guys with Tie Down Hooks on your 240-Z's know one thing for sure... The Selling Dealer's service department didn't do it's job. They were supposed to be removed by the Dealers prior to Deliver of the car to it's first owner. ...snip... The Tow Hook on the other hand, was actually part of the car.. and was to be left in place for delivery to the end consumer. So if your 240-Z came from the Dealer without it's rear Tie Down Hooks... it was delivered as intended by the Factory. ...snip... Carl: Excellent info on the Tie Down hooks, and that makes a ton of sense. However, which is the Tow Hook you refer to? I'm attaching a photo from one of the threads mentioned above that shows all 4. November 1, 200618 yr comment_187921 My red '71 (7/71) is also effectively a stock, one owner car, (snip)So you don't consider yourself an owner? Must be Deanna's then. I think you'd better keep the yellow! Ha Ha Ha. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22118-hi/?&page=3#findComment-187921 Share on other sites

Said that they probably wouldn't be able to find another supplier.I'm keeping my old stuff anyway. Maybe I can fix it.Thanks, Larry Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22118-hi/?&page=3#findComment-188138 Share on other sites

The motor in mine runs fine, but the mast doesn't move. That's going to pose a problem. November 3, 200618 yr comment_188254 Arne;I think I have a good replacement mast here for your antena. The case on mine is rusty and I was given a complete set up out of an RX 7 that is brand new. I am sure with a little thought I can make it work just fine. Let me look for sure.
