I'm new here and this is my first post. This club has been very helpful in my Z project. I've been able to find most of the information I need by using the search feature but I've not been able to find two things.

1. I need a mast for my 73 Z OEM antenna. The search shows that they should be available but I'm unable to find them. Can anybody help?

2. Which side of the rear should the tow hook go on. I'm in a reassembly mode and forgot where it was.

Thanks, Larry

Here is a thought...

All you guys with Tie Down Hooks on your 240-Z's know one thing for sure... The Selling Dealer's service department didn't do it's job. They were supposed to be removed by the Dealers prior to Deliver of the car to it's first owner.

...snip...

The Tow Hook on the other hand, was actually part of the car.. and was to be left in place for delivery to the end consumer.

So if your 240-Z came from the Dealer without it's rear Tie Down Hooks... it was delivered as intended by the Factory.

...snip...

Carl:

Excellent info on the Tie Down hooks, and that makes a ton of sense.

However, which is the Tow Hook you refer to? I'm attaching a photo from one of the threads mentioned above that shows all 4.

Arne,

I called Motorsport. They no longer have replacement masts for the OEM antenna. Said that they probably wouldn't be able to find another supplier.

I'm keeping my old stuff anyway. Maybe I can fix it.

Thanks, Larry

 Not good news, because I need one as well. The motor in mine runs fine, but the mast doesn't move. That's going to pose a problem.
