factory gnose on craigslist

A while ago someone posted an SF Bay Area craigslist ad for a set of all the factory G-nose parts... the craigslist post has been deleted and I don't see a subscription to that thread in my UserCP...

Anyone know what happened to it?

Did someone on here buy it?

Regrets... regrets... regrets....

Eric, You want to talk about real regrets? That G-nose was sold to the guy in San Francisco by a guy in Huntington Beach for $800.00....now for the regrets: My friend Joe and I could have gotten it for $500.00 and we passed. Why? I don't know we are just dumb I guess. The history on the G-nose is that it came from Japan for a guy who was going to build the ultimate Fairlady until he did the dumbest thing a car guy could ever do: He got married. So he went to unloading his extensive JDM parts collection. Many of the parts were too expensive for the guys on this board. The seller originally listed his orange Fairlady on Ebay, the car did not make the reserve and ended with a highest bid of $9500, the seller wanted $20K for everything. Long story short it was a great G-nose, I think the San Francisco seller got $2000 for it.

Wow... doesn't surprise me but wow...

Now that I've had time to think about it I still think the 4 digit SF price tag was reasonable given it was factory parts... Shoulda called the bank and had them loan me the $$$$... So anyone know what happened to it? Not someone on here I take it...

I am happily married to someone who still has their first car - a 74 Karmann Ghia so it's nice to know the car passion is shared. However if getting married means you have to give up all your prized possessions (and I'm not talking the velvet Elvis hanging above your couch in your bachelor pad) then dare I say it there's something wrong there... Oh well, best of luck to the newly married ex-JDM parts guy...

Bummer...
