Rear strut tower speakers

The person could be just extending the line of the strut tower.  Nissan did the same when they went from the flat circular disc cover of 1974-75 to the taller rounder cover in 1976.  Of course they put the seat belt retractor in there also.  Looks like a great spot for speakers though.  Wasted space otherwise.

Derek was building some enclosures for the front but didn't get much feedback.  Maybe he'd have some thoughts on something here.

I copied these pics from classicz forum about 10 years ago maybe from one of the zcar annual conventions.

You are right very nice craftmanship in making them, I also like that they are facing the right direction, ie not effected by luggage or stuff in the back of the car.
