Posted November 8, 200618 yr comment_188734 This is a very rough draft, but I think it has to be done. The front of the Aston Martin DB9 is too sexy and too much like a Z not to do it. I like the look of the fron of the original 240Z. I also like the look of an air dam. And I like the look of the G-nose. So why not fabricate a fiberglass DB9 front and put it on a Z. What do you think? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22227-i-call-it-the-zb9/ Share on other sites
November 8, 200618 yr Author comment_188735 Here's the Z without the DB9 front. I will work on some better drawings if everyone likes the idea. It will probably take more time than I wish to think about to fabricate, but winter is coming and what else is ther to do but make something new for my Zcar. November 8, 200618 yr comment_188794 I like your sketches! The DB9 front end would look unique on the Zcar, but I'm not sure if I'd like it until I see a photoshop of it done, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22227-i-call-it-the-zb9/#findComment-188794 Share on other sites

November 8, 200618 yr comment_188812 I think you have...Photoshop trace and a cut and paste. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22227-i-call-it-the-zb9/#findComment-188812 Share on other sites
November 8, 200618 yr comment_188813 i was walking along to my car and out of a car wash place reversed a 350z with a db9 style front grill, looked semi decent, would of looked better if the rest of the car was done up with class instead of the way it had been (altessa lights etc) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22227-i-call-it-the-zb9/#findComment-188813 Share on other sites
November 8, 200618 yr Author comment_188856 I think you have...Photoshop trace and a cut and paste.WillI think pirosan meant he would like to see me work some photoshop magic with merging a 240z photograph with a DB9 photograph.I can do this and make it look like the car is one. It will take a little more time. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22227-i-call-it-the-zb9/#findComment-188856 Share on other sites
November 8, 200618 yr comment_188859 I think you have...Photoshop trace and a cut and paste. Will I think what hls30 meant was that you took this picture (attached) and used photoshop trace to create the sketch versus an original hand drawn sketch.
