New member looking for a 240

I wouldn't rule out a '73 if I were you. Once the flat-top carbs have been replaced with round-tops from an earlier Z, I believe you have something just as desirable as a '72, and the price is likely to be lower. Too many people rule out the '73s.

Two more thoughts: Cars from Arizona and many parts of California can have what I find to be an amazing lack of rust.

Shipping -- there's an online site that you should be able to find, which features ratings by users of various delivery services. Most of the ones rated have automatic quote-generators on their own sites.

Thanks for the input folks, and your right about the 73's, I have already put them back into my search. It's amazing how hard it is to actually find a decend 240, I have searched EVERYWHERE with not much luck. I didn't know it was going to be this hard to spend money.....:)

Again, anyone looking to sell give me a shout.

Mally.

I talked with the guy from the KY today, he says 6 out of 7 used to run fine and would only take a day to get 6 of them on the road again, I'm going to try and make it out there next week.

Arne thanks for the link, the Red one in WA looks promising.

I actually found a nice 73 that should be here sometime next week, I'll post some pics when it arrives.

I did receive these photos from a member here that is selling there Z, it looks good from the pics, His name is "rickydonna" I think. If anyone is looking this might be your ticket.

Good luck with your '73. I own one. It may be a bit different than the 70-72, but once you get them running well, it sure is fun. There is a guy in Houston that has 7 z's for sale. He is very selective on who he will sell them to. In other words he has not sold one for 3 yrs. Several people have asked. They are parked outside and getting rusty, but he wants them to go to people that will restore them and not tear them apart. The guys name is Ken and he is out in Stafford, TX.
