"Ha 240zx it was worth a try even if I only got a dollar"

Did Tom give ya a hard time?

Dude - I need the same push. I took my z apart more than 6 months ago, and there she sits... Apart.... Now the 510 has taken all my attention. Gotta get back to the Z. I really miss driving her.

I have never even got to drive mine!! I had all the panels replaced and the whole car blasted!!! Yes I truely do have a rust free Z!!! LOL NOW!!!! and I have an LS1 corvette motor sitting next to her waiting!! Just don't have the will anymore!!!

OH and P.S. No i never even got a dollar!!! Seriously if you guys have an extra dollar mail it to me!!! I only need a few hundred people to do that and maybe I'll have enough to get going again!!!!!

Chris,

You gotta hang in there, when you're done you'll have a nice, collectable car to drive. You'll get lots of compliments from people AND anything worth having is worth waiting for.

I'm sort of in the same boat; I'm busy at work, the holidays eat up alot of time and there hasn't been enough free-time to work on the Z. My goal was to be done by the end of the year but with December already half filled with appointments, it's probably not gonna happen.

I go back on a regular basis and look at all the pictures I took to remind myself how far I've come. I also look at pictures of the 280Z I sold and realize that my car will be terrific once I git-er-done.

Hope this helps my man, good luck!

Bruce

What are we going to do?? I guess we could say a lot of four and five letter words at you like: FORD, CHEVY, DODGE, MOPAR....(Not trying to wizz anybody off by the way...just trying to inject some humor here) LOL

I'm just getting started real good on my car, so I'm probably not even anywhere near where you are at with your car...sigh LOL

I know I already posted, but as most of you know I wrecked my '72. I'm looking forward to gutting it for some reason. I'm also in the midst of purchasing a 1971 to replace it, which will be my new baby. I guess think about everything you want to do to it, and you'll get anxious.

Here you go. To get going, you have to imagine how cool it will be to have it on the road. So in case you missed it, here is the thread that describes my first-ever road trip in a Z. Read it and imagine the fun you will have, and the friends you will meet once it is complete.

Look at your Z as a long term commitment, the more you put in, the more you get out. Sometimes it's a give and take, and sometimes you'll get mad, but ultimately, once you've come to your senses, you'll have a stronger bond with your Z and be able to appreciate her more.

Try to spend some time with her, tinker a little, put something together. One thing at a time, just to show yourself some progress.

Here ya go...That guy from Sweden...Mull is his handle...has some awesome video's to watch...If that don't get ya pumped up...then you're dead or something...(well you know what I mean....) LOL
