Are there any good Z magazines or general sports car restoration publications anyone could suggest? I've been looking in bookstores lately and can't seem to find anything even close...would be nice to have some real car magazines to read once in a while :)

HOW about Nissan Sport . They cover many different Nissan cars and do a good job on the early Z cars . Worth a look . Supposed to be on the stans this January. I have read and reread my Fall issue a number of times and have found it to be a good read . Gary LOL

Slobound76 - Two other magazines I enjoy (while not 100% Datsun content) are GrassRoots Motorsports (http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/) and Classic Motorsports (http://www.classicmotorsports.net/)...both from the same publisher. The most recent issue of Classic Motorsports includes a short writeup on their 240Z renewal work....

I was going to mention GRM mag and CM mag, but their not particularly Z-car related. More like period-related stuff, although you will se some new stuff too.

The problem with finding Z-car related materials in print is because the Z-car fits in a niche segment of the auto industry, and it's not as popular as it was in the 70s & 80s.

BTW- do you suppose NissanSport would consider sending out a sample issue? It would probably help swing those people that are on the fence on which magazine(s) to subscribe to.

thx

Best mag for Nissan/datsun is Nissan Sport.

That may be true but I'm not interested much in anything badged 'Nissan' after about 1980 or so. Like I said, I'm a 'Datsun' fan not a Nissan fan. Hey Bill, capitalize that "D" when you say Datsun.:)
