Do you think that I could be worth restoring? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22532-new-project/ Share on other sites
December 6, 200618 yr comment_191689 I saw that one as I was criusing through ebay also. It looks like it has alot of cancer in it (rust).. In my opinion it would probably be alot of work to get it to original shape and show quality. On the other hand any z would be a great street criuser. My Z had a fiberglass kit on it from the original owner. My guess it was too much rust to fix it 10 years ago when he redid it. The fiberglass looks great and I still show the car but love to drive it. If the price is right how can you go wrong, it will still restore nicely with some work & $$$$ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22532-new-project/#findComment-191689 Share on other sites
December 6, 200618 yr comment_191696 If you do buy this car, let me know the rusted sections and I can cut them off of my parts car for you. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22532-new-project/#findComment-191696 Share on other sites
December 6, 200618 yr comment_191697 Yes every Z is worth restoring at some point. Being that this is a low vin you have to ask yourself how far are you willing to go and the most important how much $$$ you want to invest.Budget wisely or you'll end up like half of us on the board. Keep us posted. I see there is one bid so far.Good Luck!! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22532-new-project/#findComment-191697 Share on other sites
December 6, 200618 yr comment_191706 Right now, it's at one grand, and even though it isn't in the best of condition, I think that is a fair price for that VIN. If you had the extra space, and some cash for discretionary spending, it might be nice to get, just to have for now. Shore it up some, to keep the rust at bay, and dive in later on; or sell it further down the road. My concern about this one is that someone might get it without caring about its low vin status, and cut it up for parts then scrap it.
