Posted December 8, 200618 yr comment_191894 I just bought a 78 280z 2+2 locally for $1300. The interior is in pretty good shape. The chrome and woodgrain trim on the door panels have lost their chrome, and I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a set of trim for them, if they are even available? Any help would be appreciated. THANKS Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22551-78-280z-22-door-panel-trim-question/ Share on other sites
December 8, 200618 yr comment_191898 Not sure if they are available or not. But there is a silver tape you can buy that makes it look chrome. I believe MSA sales it. December 10, 200618 yr comment_192189 I completed the resto on my 260 2+2 back in March 06, and I had to go with new door panels as I couldn't find anything remotely close or good enough to meet my requirements. I used Too Intense Restoration on E-Bay for the skins that were reasonably priced and easy to install. They look real nice and recieved lots of compliments at my first show. They didn't have any of the O.E.M. style trim but the stitching is of a high quality. If all else fails I'd highly recommend replacing yours with these.
