You may have noticed on the thread about heat shields that I was, and still am, having the same problem. Will jumped in and managed to post my pictures on that thread and he told me he had to mount each picture individually. The picture you mounted on that thread I can’t open, I can see it but it won’t enlarge when I click on it. Anyway, have been wrestling with this for a few days now all the while ensuring that the dimensions and size are well within limits.

I did, however, manage to get the same picture mounted on my gallery but into a thread it would not go....

I think there is something going on with not just tje file size of the individual photos, but also with the total sixe of the fimes addedat one time.

On the upluad photos page, if you upload one at a time, they got just fine, but when the total file size is more than 500k or so, the page not found comes up.

I've been experimenting with uploading larger versions of some of the photos I took at Canby last June, replacing the 320x240 versions with 1024x768. What I've found is that even individual photos will not upload if the file size on my computer is larger than 512kb. The 512kb and smaller upload fine, but anything larger bombs.

If I change the jpg compression ratio in Photoshop to make the file size a touch smaller (but not the screen size), they upload fine. As an example I re-compressed one from 568kb to 468kb and it then worked.

Not being a computer person , I don't know if this is anything a miss with my PC or the web site . When I click on hls30s thumbnails on the his last post . They enlarge just fine , however when I want to go back to the thread , I am not able to and am taken back to my desk top screen and off the web site . Gary This happened last night and just now. Gary

Gary,

try this.

if you're using Internet Explorer, click on Tools>Internet Options>Advanced.

scroll down and uncheck the box that says reuse windows for launching shortcuts.

you might have to close IE and then reopen back to the site. this will allow another instance of IE to open to view the expanded thumbnails.

in Firefox, click Tools>Options>Tabs and check under open links from other applications. click to open a new window. once again you might have to close/reopen to apply new settings.

Mozilla should be similar.

hope this helps.

Arne.... The photos I was trying to upload were only 220,272 and 308Kb's.... image size 800 X 600. One would think these are within the parameter limits.....

Okay boys, check it out now. I switched image processing systems by compiling a new version of the base-code. Let me know if that suits yer fancy. Please retest for me.... :)

Here we go.....

Ok... looks like it's better, however, I have to upload each photo individually. No big deal, at least it works now.... THANKS Mike....
