Posted December 19, 200618 yr comment_193149 Hello to everyone...This summer I purchased a 74' 260Z auto with 68k miles. It spent it's entire running life in Hawaii, then was shipped to the main land in 1990 and was put in storage until this now. With that said, there is no rust on my Z, but I am dealing with all kinds of funny issues common with that of any car that has been sitting for 15+ years. So any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. December 20, 200618 yr comment_193169 welcome! what specific issues are you experiencing? if it was store with fluids, you're going to want to flush everything. also, when you get it up and running, might i suggest a nice seafoam treatment? December 20, 200618 yr comment_193225 Hey there and welcome to the club. With your car spending that much time in Hawaii, I'm surprised there's anything left of the body. That salt air is a killer. I'm not sure anyone's ever noticed, but you don't see very many classic cars in Hawaii. Perhaps it's just the culture that gravitates towards new cars, but the older ones I saw were complete rust buckets to the point that pieces were nearly falling off of them.
