Hi all,

I'm posting an official request for a new site logo and mascot. If you have graphic talent and would like to help out the site, we could use your abilities! The artist whos logo we choose will receive $50, a club Tshirt, and microfiche CD.

The new logo will be placed in the upper left of all web pages and also part of our main theme. I am currently working on a new look for the site and would like to make the new logo part of it.

The old logo (oval Z) will not go away and we would like to fit it into the new logo/mascot. Anything will do, but, the design shouldn't be too complex. It needs to be fun.... We will also use it on our new club Tshirt.

Haha... color doesn't really matter all that much, but, it would be nice to follow a theme. I am working on a new layout that has yellows and blues in it. A red car wouldn't look bad either.

Maybe this would be a little over the top but should the picture incorporate some ancient Japanese heritage? (Building, block print, warrior, kanji, etc...

Something done in flash would be cool to but might not be friendly to all viewers.

Just trying to get a feel for what direction you would like to take it.

This attachment is not the type of ancient heritage I was thinking of but it would be cool to see the original parked next to a 240 then a 350.

Looking at the first three examples you provided - are you really looking more for a "Banner Graphic" - that would go with or compliment a "Logo"?

The reason I ask is because a "Logo" is supposed to make a Brand Name clear, distinguished from others, by the use of a distinct but easily recognizable "icon" or "graphic symbol"... (granted many Logos do include some stylized text)

Having two symbols for the same organization, would seem to be counterproductive.

I have to agree with Carl on that.

Keep the Oval Z logo as it is, but incorporate it into a new Banner graphic.

I'm looking for a new graphic logo, mascot, or simply fun graphic for the website. It will be placed in the upper left of the pages and will be used on our next Tshirt.

The LOGO itself is complete and I don't want to change that. I'm thinking it would be fun to generate some kind of mascot in the form of a car, a person, animal, cute cartoon girl, or whatever... I am really into the anime thing and that might be fun to do as well. Hell, a 3D character would be the ultimate solution.

What about the ZI Joe theme? Hell, we should find the doll that was used in that barbie commercial a few years ago. That's the fun stuff I'm talking about.... Or, even Speed Racer....

How about an anime girl with an anime styled Z? I'm no artist, so I won't attempt it, but there are surely some artistically inclined members here.

Another route regarding the anime-Does anyone have in thier collection any films that have a Z-type car?
