Hi all,

I'm posting an official request for a new site logo and mascot. If you have graphic talent and would like to help out the site, we could use your abilities! The artist whos logo we choose will receive $50, a club Tshirt, and microfiche CD.

The new logo will be placed in the upper left of all web pages and also part of our main theme. I am currently working on a new look for the site and would like to make the new logo part of it.

The old logo (oval Z) will not go away and we would like to fit it into the new logo/mascot. Anything will do, but, the design shouldn't be too complex. It needs to be fun.... We will also use it on our new club Tshirt.

Yep, there have been some good submissions. We are still waiting on more... so, if you guys are waiting, now is the time to get 'em in.

, I love that graphic. Those are VERY good reasons to put it back. But, I was receiving complaints because people didn't want to browse at work due to the near-nakedness of the ladies.

I could put that in the upper left logo area... hmm...

After reading through everyones ideas - I came up with this quick. We can't use this particular anime chick because I borrowed her from an existing image. But I figured we can use a lady tastefully as a mascot whether she be anime or cartoony.

Japanese girl is good!!... and I'd also like to go with a Mr. K type figure as well. Do you have any photos of Mr K we can use as a template?

I don't have any images of Mr. K - Can you provide some? What if we did an dual mascot with Mr. K and a japanese anime chick?

We should probably keep them separate just so we can use them on different areas of the site. But, perhaps join them together in the future? Here are some picts of Mr K...

The last image (yellow) is actually an actor that portrayed Mr K in the "Dogs Love Trucks" commercials.... (graham has the actor (with small glasses) shown behind the logo in a few posts above this one).

The "theme" behind a Mr. K character should show have a cane, cool round glasses, and dressed classy. I like the one of him leaning on the cane. Playful and sophisticated....
