December 24, 200618 yr comment_193709 Actually, while it is true that the vast majority of all first generation Z's are from Japan, a few stayed there and are thus in Japan. On the other hand, if by "all" the reference was to a GS30, now found outside Japan, then at least it is from Japan;-) Merry Christmas Everyone.... Carl B. Carl, So were you born in the USA or Germany? Just wanted to get it straightened out in my mind, as I remember you claiming - on this forum - to have been "German". I think the original quote was something along the lines of ".........being German myself.........". If only the Z cars that left Japan can be referred to as "from Japan" then maybe you'd better stick to being an "American" rather than "German"? Silly semantics is a tough subject to grasp once you start getting into it, don't you think? Frohe Weihnachten! Alan T. January 3, 200718 yr comment_194564 thanks for the help. its a 2x2 I know that for a fact and its a manual. Hi Jeff, Welcome to the group. You wouldn't by chance be looking at Tom from Lincoln's car would you? I've not seen it personally as its been in storage under years of accumulated possesions. But I do know its the exact year and model Alan T. described for you. If it is Tom's car, its not the original engine. The L20 was removed due to mechanical failure and replaced with an L26 I believe. Anyway, its only an assumption on my part as there are NOT a bunch of Fairlady Z 2/2's running or hiding for that matter in Nebraska. Regards, Chris A.
