Arne Posted December 25, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2006 Anyone recognize the car in this auction? It has all the classic signs of a scam - new user, no VIN, pre-approved bidders only, yada yada yada.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-1971-DATSUN-240Z-COUPE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6187QQihZ014QQitemZ330066398225QQrdZ1
theianmonster Posted December 25, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2006 It does look suspicious. Especially because he says its perfect, but the interior sucks, and its started at $400.
broken74 Posted December 25, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 25, 2006 The weird thing that I see is no pictures of the engine or close ups of known rust areas for Z cars , either to prove none was ever there or it was repaired correctly. ddezso Posted December 25, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 25, 2006 A seller with zero feedback isnt one I'd buy a car from.

Mike Posted December 25, 2006 Share #12 Posted December 25, 2006 True, stay away from anybody selling a car with ZERO feedback. Small, low-cost items aren't that risky, but, a higher-dollar item is too much risk. Then again, you never know... perhaps it's somebody who never used ebay in the past ? EDIT: After looking at the car dealers site, I seriously doubt they just signed up. Nice find guys. Someone would have to run out there and take a look at the car before committing to an auction.
