NMeyer Posted December 28, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2006 How many of you have converted a 240z to v8 using a kit? I would like to hear from someone that has about what kit they used and how difficult it was.-Nick Meyer

Arne Posted December 28, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 28, 2006 Nick, you'll find that there aren't many V8 swappers on this board, you'll get much more info from the guys at HybridZ.org.

paulbimm Posted December 28, 2006 Share #6 Posted December 28, 2006 hi nick,i have an original scarab swap..it works great. but they are out of business. the jag conversion does wrk too. hooker still has the headers and they might have the motor mounts too. it just raises up the motor a bit and back a little. good luck paul
Belvedere Posted December 29, 2006 Share #7 Posted December 29, 2006 I have a 77 with JTR conversion. That conversion sets the motor back to the fire wall and toward the passenger side about 3/4 of an inch. It went much better than I had expected. They also have a book that goes through the whole ordeal that you can buy. It has some pretty good specs. on the parts you can build if you don't feel like buying theirs. I would recomend buying the parts unless you have a machine shop available to you. Send me an email if you want more info. I'd be glad to help. I used a 350TPI. If I did it all over again....I'd probably go LS1, but the tune port is what I had in the corner of the garage. It still is piles of fun.
