It would cost so much to get it changed back that he'd have to GIVE it away. And considering how many times it's been on eBay, he's clearly not willing to do that yet.

This car is a sterling example of how you can ruin a car's marketability by doing serious over-the-top mods. The more seriously it is modified, the fewer people are willing to buy it, because the mods are different than what they would do. Someone obviously thought the body and paint treatment were cool, or they wouldn't have done it. The problem is now trying to find someone else who shares that opinion of this work. Apparently finding those people (few as they may be) is proving to be fairly difficult.

Maybe a reverse 'pimp my ride' where we all get to watch as they hack away to restore it to OEM. They could call the guy and say it was stolen, or send him out of town. I think we got a winner here for the pilot.

That car is about 15 minutes from where I live. I was going to tell a friend about it but that thing is in horrible shape. I 'm willing to bet that it is even worse in person. ouch! I have never seen that car around town so it hasn't been running in a while. double ouch!!
