red_dog007 Posted January 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 7, 2007 Is there a Z store or junk yard around here? I need like lot of stuff, but I dont have time to order what I need online. By the time the stuff gets here, I will be back in Tennessee.I know that there are a few of you who live around here that I can get help from if needed and tools too, but right now all I need to know is if any of you have a bunch-o of parts.Like I need a bunch of little stuff. All the big things need to wait for the interior because I need to get a vinyl interior kit, and I am going to do that before I put in my carpet kit and new seats put in.Almost have finished cleaning the car out, getting the hatch window out and pulling out the old carpet kit (nasty!!!). A little rust inside, but nothing that cant be fixed. Getting a huge list put together for parts. Tomorrow I think that I am going to be chucking in a battery and see how that goes. Hopefully the thing runs smoothly!
=Enigma= Posted January 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 7, 2007 As far as I know there isn't anything like that in Santa Cruz proper. I believe there are a few places over the hill in the Bay Area but I haven't made my rounds to them yet. I don't have a lot of spare parts myself, only those that are earmarked for use in future conversions or additions. List what you need and I see if I can be of any help. I may be willing to part with something critical you need if I have it on hand and it can be easily replaced at a later date. Also, there are a few junk yards in Moss Landing just south of us, and I have found parts there from time to time. A few months ago there Pick & Pull had a 74' 260Z with an N42 based L28 and flat tops, a 240Z that was mostly a stripped shell and a lost cause, a 73' 240Z that was 80% complete with a clean shell and complete running gear minus the carbs, however rumor is that it was crushed....animals. There were also numerous 300ZX's from 84-89 and an 81 280ZX 2+2 I yanked the motor, tranny and diff from.

datsunrides Posted January 8, 2007 Share #8 Posted January 8, 2007 Here's Rod's website http://www.rodsdatsun.com He is more like a vendor than a junk yard, although he does have some used stuff. Stuff for all Datsuns too, not just Z's. I have found stuff in Salinas on rare occasion, but the San Jose yards are much better for selection, IMO.
