As far as I'm concerened here is what needs to happen.

1~

We need to stop parting out our cars like there was an endless supply.

If you didn't know this they didn't make a Billion of 'em.

If you factor in chop shop theft and the all to common accidents, the last thing we need to do is help them disappear.

2~

We have to put more presure own parts suppliers to start tooling up and making these new parts we need.

3~

Start looking overseas to places like Hong Kong and Taiwan or Thailand who seem to have a nice supply of parts and in some cases even repro stuff like badges have been starting to turn up lately on EBAY, if any of you have noticed.

and 4~

If you going to part a car out, PLEASE for the love of all that is HOLY Don't send the Body to the Crusher ! ! !

They're have been way to many instances were perfectly good bodies have been sent to the crop just to get them out of the way.

I know of one WEBSITE in peticular that "CLAIMS" to be on the side of the Z but as soon as the striped they body for parts, supposedly to suply us guys, they send it off to the crusher.

They even have the nerve to list photos of all the Z's, Specs and all that then put a caption underneath it saying the date it Crushed! !

It looks like an obituary list full of tombstones of Datsuns.

If you buy a parts car and stripe it assume you have a body to make a Hot Rod or even better, a concept car out of

This Z Car is my absolute pride and joy and has such a special spot in my heart. No way and repeat NO WAY will I ever sell her. She's like my little precious child

I knew that B.P.E. wouldn't last on Ebay long. It's amazing. That buyer got a hell of deal in my opinion.

Carl, was it you that said this guy has another B.P.E. with even less miles??? Thats got to be something to see. How many miles are on that one? 15,000? Do you have any photos of it?

No it wasn't me, it was DougN that mentioned it - but the other one had 634 original miles on it. I arranged the sale - and it came from another friend, that is a SERIOUS COLLECTOR - that owned it since around 1980. Needless to say it sold for a significantly higher price than the one on E-Bay.

600 and 34 miles.

Yes - As I recall it had about 570 some miles on it when I inspeced it before the final sale... As I recall the present owner said it was now 634.

It is "as it left the showroom floor - Stickers still in the window, plastic wrap still on the seatbelts and as I recall still on the door panels - although I advised that be removed before the plastic went bad...
