Posted January 15, 200718 yr comment_195575 Saw a really nice looking Black Pearl on eBay for anyone looking for an instant show car:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300069673991&rd=1,128K original miles and lots of documentation! I have seen this car in person and it is as nice as it looks. The guy that owns it has the nicest collection of Z's I have ever seen (about 15 mint condition cars)! I believe Carl Beck is also familair with this car (and the collection). January 15, 200718 yr comment_195616 Thanks Doug for the thread. Nice car but the reason I am thanking you has to do with the green Z in the backround. I don't want to invade this thread with the thread I posted regarding the colors of the hubcaps VS the rear three piece panel and grill but coincidentally the Green Z in the backround of the Black Pearl listing depicts the panel in the correct color So this has been a big help to me. Except for the fact that I am going to have to figure out how to blow the picture up and give it to the guy who is matching the paint . Anyway thanks again McKrack Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22939-nice-black-pearl-on-ebay/#findComment-195616 Share on other sites
January 16, 200718 yr comment_195674 Here you go, Burt. Give this to the guy. This is a crop and enlargement of the 1970 dealer brochure showing a match in color. I am in negotiations to buy the original art work for this brochure. I remember using this information during a conversation about the color of distributor caps. Makes it kind of hard to argue the different color thing. BTW, Burt, if you aren't Burt, prove it. Lets see a picture of your car Burt. I thought you were kicked off this site and I will thank you to not send me nasty PMs in disguise as your crack.
