hls30.com Posted January 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 17, 2007 Arne has a used car site!Seriously, if you just want to get rid of it dump it back in his yard-and take all four wheels with you! Will
a7dz Posted January 17, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2007 Don't be too hasty getting rid of that car. Can you get your money back from the seller? If not is the hood in good condition. It is not made any more if it has the louvered panels in it. Might pay off parting it out or finding a replacement engine there are several around this site yours just for the taking. Scarecrow Posted January 17, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted January 17, 2007 no money back from the guy. its guys like that who ruin the name of the other decent poeple. the hood is in good condition, along with most of the body. i'd be willing to part it out if i knew what i was doing at all... i don't really have a male figure in my life so i can change oil, tires, air filters... and thats it. red_dog007 Posted January 17, 2007 Share #10 Posted January 17, 2007 There could be a number of things wrong with it, cheap and expensive to fix. After getting the coil put in, which currently sounds like that is all you did, what noises do it make when you turned the key? Right now I am thinking no noise or power from anything, so the battery is dead. If all you did was a coil, it seems like your sorta had a short temper with it and didnt try other options.Describe to us what is happening, and it could be a super easy fix!!!Heck, I got my motor running, that hadnt run in at least 2 years. Official number still unknown. All I did was drop like $200 on a $625 car to get it running. Well, all I needed for it to run was a battery, but I also got hoses, belts, spark plugs, fluids and filters while I was at it. Last thing was dropping in the battery, turning the key and hearing it roar to life!!!Also, if your motor is just turning but wont start, it could be a fuel thing too. If it has been sitting, the fuel might need to work its ways through the fuel lines. I had this same problem. I had to stand there squirting fuel directly into a carb via the air intake to keep the motor running until the fuel had finally worked its way through the lines into the motor. sblake01 Posted January 17, 2007 Share #11 Posted January 17, 2007 She kind of answers your statement here:If all you did was a coil, it seems like your sorta had a short temper with it and didnt try other options. i'd be willing to part it out if i knew what i was doing at all... i don't really have a male figure in my life so i can change oil, tires, air filters... and thats it.But like everyone has stated, give us a little more info and maybe we can help you get it going. Scarecrow Posted January 18, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted January 18, 2007 i took it to a mechanic... and then got a second opinion... and the fuel system needs completely replaced, half the wiring, a new exhaust system is needed, and for that matter for all we know the engine is completely seized up. :paranoid:
