73 240Z Choke Problem

I don't know much about carbs. I'll have to take a picture. The guy I bought it from had the carbs fixed up before I bought it.

I'd recommend getting the "Just SUs" DVD from Z Therapy, or finding someone who knows the carbs. A complete tune up is advised. You should adjust your valves before you get the carbs in order. You may just find that the valve adjust will cure your cold starting all by itself.

Good Luck!

The guy I bought it from just had the carbs rebuilt before I bought it. They look like they are brand new. It runs excellent once it's warm. It makes me wonder if an adjustment is off on the choke or not set up correctly. BTW, I plan on getting the Z Therapy video.

Last year I was experiencing cold starting issues and a few idle issues when warm. I just could not figure it out. I thought it was the carbs. Turned out the valves were too tight. After they were adjusted properly, the cold start was normal, the idle was normal. I was looking in the wrong place because I couldn't diagnose it correctly.
