January 26, 200718 yr comment_197001 I don't know much about carbs. I'll have to take a picture. The guy I bought it from had the carbs fixed up before I bought it.I'd recommend getting the "Just SUs" DVD from Z Therapy, or finding someone who knows the carbs. A complete tune up is advised. You should adjust your valves before you get the carbs in order. You may just find that the valve adjust will cure your cold starting all by itself.Good Luck! January 26, 200718 yr Author comment_197007 The guy I bought it from just had the carbs rebuilt before I bought it. They look like they are brand new. It runs excellent once it's warm. It makes me wonder if an adjustment is off on the choke or not set up correctly. BTW, I plan on getting the Z Therapy video. January 26, 200718 yr comment_197009 Last year I was experiencing cold starting issues and a few idle issues when warm. I just could not figure it out. I thought it was the carbs. Turned out the valves were too tight. After they were adjusted properly, the cold start was normal, the idle was normal. I was looking in the wrong place because I couldn't diagnose it correctly. January 26, 200718 yr comment_197010 On round-tops, there really isn't any adjustment to speak of on the choke system. Either the nozzles move with the cables or they don't. I sure wish I could see them. Any chance you could post pictures? January 26, 200718 yr comment_197012 A good shot of the carbs from the air cleaner side, with the air cleaner removed. Showing as much of the bottom of the carbs as possible.
