Zak's Z Posted January 18, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2007 I saw these on Ebay and my jaw dropped. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WOW-Super-Rare-DATSUN-240Z-NOS-Black-DOOR-PANELS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ140721QQihZ017QQitemZ270080764011QQrdZ1I'm not going to judge what they're worth as they are listed as NOS...but thats alot of money for door panels. Zulaytr Posted January 18, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 18, 2007 At Christmas time there was another set of NOS, still in the plastic wrappers door trim panels with a buy it now price of $650. So if the price now is just about twice that then the next listing in a couple of months would listed for $2500!! But considering the price of NOS dashes and other real hard to find parts in a couple of years that may be bargain basement pricing.
Mike Posted January 19, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 19, 2007 That's completely out of line... Someone has GOT to start making these aftermarket.

mdbrandy Posted January 19, 2007 Share #7 Posted January 19, 2007 Are they really unobtainable now? I bought a pair of NOS ones from MidwestZ back when they were still in business, but that was less than 3 years ago I think. Lots of things are going NLA, I know... jmark Posted January 19, 2007 Share #8 Posted January 19, 2007 I believe Les at Classic Datsun will recover your old panels for alot less.
Arne Posted January 19, 2007 Share #9 Posted January 19, 2007 Several places will recover old ones - assuming you can find a pair of decent, unwarped and uncracked ones to start with. Seems to me that this might be a good place for a fiberglass replacement base, with new covers from CDM or TIR. Now if only someone would tool up for this. Mike Posted January 19, 2007 Share #10 Posted January 19, 2007 I believe Les at Classic Datsun will recover your old panels for alot less.Only problem is that you need an original panel to cover... The hardened cardboard stuff is hard to find anymore.
