the pics were taken over 18 months ago...and a few things have been done to the car since then...we redid the headlight covers that fit better....

Other than that, the car is pretty much the same.

It was a real honor to have John drive my car.....

Hey Ron,

Cindy and I thought it was great to catch up to you at Les's shop the other day. Never know who might just pop in or who's car just might be parked in his shop! Magazine article turned out real nice, we enjoyed it.

And thanks for selling us the Panas too.

Craig

Congrats, Ron! Living here in SoCal, I've had many opportunities to see the car in preson. And it's even more stunning up close than in print. As well as to have met John Morton at one of the old "Surfside" Datsun shows.

Craig,

It was great to see you and meet Cindy! enjoy the Panasports!!

It was a real thrill to have John Morton drive my Z on the track for it's first track outing, and although it does not mention it in the article if you look closely you can see John's glasses through the eye opening on the Simpson helmet on the cover pages, driving my car.

John is always very gracious.

JMark, I am trying to find a way to make it to Daytona this year. It is not easy or cheap to do so. Really I want to bring two cars. Both my Roadster and my Z for the show and trackdays. I hope to see you all on the east coast too.

Sblake & e_racer, thanks for your nice words, hope to see you guys at MSA this year.

Hey Ron, I appreciate you not naming the source of motor/Mikunis/AREs - wouldn't want to get blamed for turning your project from "race car" into "BRE trailer queen." hehe.... Anyway, you've certainly done a superb job getting that car together faithfully, and it deserves the recognition its gotton.

Ron, FYI my race car's going under the "knife" this weekend. Gonna knock out all of the old bondo and fix the front end where I apparently tapped another car during green flag. I feel sorta bad about removing the bondo. It's like removing some of the car's race heritage - fixing the crappy repair done in the mid '70's after a roll-over at Willow Springs.
