JimmyZ Posted January 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2007 Just wondering if anyone knew of any JY 240's in the Central FL area. I once knew of a JY in Sanford which was full of 240's. It has been so long since I visited it I forgot where it was. Does anyone remember this one? Thanks,Jim
26th-Z Posted January 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2007 The Sanford yard is pretty spartan. Mostly RX-7s
c david Posted January 23, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 23, 2007 i just pulled an f54 and a p79 head from tampa. there is another f54-p79 from a 2+2 and yet another n47 block that is in a car showing 79,000 miles. i am thinking it is a possible 79,000 mile car based on the condition; but if you go it will not be in the general access yard. ie it's on the side..... you will need to negotiate to get there....cdave
7T1240 Posted January 23, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2007 Hey Jim, I don't think this is the yard you're looking for, but they do have 240Z parts (don't know if it's a disassembled car with no shell or an intact car):http://www.partsfinder2k.com/index.htmlPhone is 1-800-592-1257. Ask them about parts from a silver 1970 240Z.Good luck, Gary S.

JimmyZ Posted January 24, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted January 24, 2007 Many thanks guys! The yard I was thinking of was one owned by a NASA employee. It was a private yard which contained one MGA and '70-'73 240Z's. This yard supplied the owner with parts for Z projects and revenue for taxes and was not a "proper" business. (would not show up in search engines) Today such a yard would be a gold mine I imagine. I found the yard through a reference. Looks like I'll have to go driving around Sanford. If I do find the yard I will be sure to pass it on to the rest of us. Hey 26th... When you say the Sanford yard is pretty spartan are you reffering to the yard I'm thinking of or just a regular yard? Many thanks again.Jim
26th-Z Posted January 24, 2007 Share #7 Posted January 24, 2007 Private yard, NASA employee, MGs...yea, that's the one. I forget exactly where it is, but near the airport. I was there about a year ago and didn't come home with much. There were some interesting things, but I wasn't that desperate and the place is a serious mess. It isn't kept up. There is a Triumph Spitfire in the front yard that once raced in the 24 hours of Daytona.
