WingZr0 Posted January 25, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2007 I've seen these before in White but then I saw this one made of metal. Did these come in Red from the factory? If so what year were they on? I also have a red 240Z Series 1 pillar badge also in metal. THYANX FOR ANY INFO. ~Z~

Thyanx BLAKE I got it online from an antique shop in Oregon state. It's a mint condition OLD ENGLISH dail from the 70's with a 1960's band and works perfect. Which is why I haven't worn it yet. Did try it on a few times and feels oooooooooooooo soooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooood The band is a vintage 1960's with smooth textured metal links that strech apart for a one size fits all style. Way better than the Tropico plastic straps that came with the dail itself. No wonder why the original replaced it. The lady who sold it to me was very nice and only cost a Houndred bucks. If you search the NET for ~ OLD ENGLISH WATCH ~ or ~ VINTAGE OLD ENGLISH WATCH ~ they'll sometimes come up. Sometimes from small mom and pop stores like this one did. ~Z~

26th-Z Posted January 25, 2007 Share #8 Posted January 25, 2007 The Zs for those badges came painted only in white. Your red ones have been modified. There are several different types of the "240Z" badge you have. Early badges had chromed Zs without any indentation (to hold the paint) and they came solid cast and hollow cast metal. White Zs in hollow cast metal followed. The latest variation is made of plastic and the Z is painted white. Fairlady badges came in hollow cast metal and I have one without the Z as well as one with the Z.
