Mckrack Posted January 28, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2007 I would apprecite wholeheartedly if someone can tell me if the series one Datsun 240z contained jute horsehair underpadding on the small area of flooring in the storage areas behing the seats. I know that originally an area under the seats was absent of carpeting and only had underpadding and that the area described above had no carpeting. But did it have underpadding?Thank you so much for the help.McKrack
code3z Posted January 28, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2007 Yes, there was the horsehair underpadding under the carpeting behind the seats. It was a loose piece similar shape to the carpet.
Mckrack Posted January 28, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted January 28, 2007 Thank you Code3Z Much appreciated. I think you may have misunderstood me. I was asking if there is underpadding on the floor inside the storage areas behind the seats. You know those storage doors open up where the jack and the tool bag is. Not in the series 2 car where the storage areas are in the hatch area. Thanks again and let me know if you know please. All the best.McKrack
AZ-240z Posted January 28, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 28, 2007 Yes, the area under both seats, and the area behind the seats and under the black plastic jack and tool pouch housings all had the natural fiber jute installed on series 1 cars. If you do a search for jute, I think you will find a lot of good info and pictures from Kats.
