I know I'd personally LOVE to do a widebody, but the cost of wheels and tires alone would come out to probably 20 times what I paid for the car in the first place...but since it only cost me $200 (and the guy I got it from got it for free), most parts on the car approach the value of the vehicle...

I can't imagine anyone on this forum playing with these cars for monitary value. The value lies in the lifestyle, and being a part of the Z community.

The value that you receive, and give to others is your participation in this website, and the Z community everyday. Thanks for being here!

Living in the East bay I recall seeing the Black Primadonna Z several times, once in Lake Tahoe, once on the Bay Shore freeway. I think I spoke to the owner as well, on one occasion.

It was a interesting car, larger than life. I am glad the car is in good hands. It is gawdy in a Miami Vice sort of way, definately a time capsule. Since there are so few examples I hope that someone takes good care of the remaining cars.

We'll I got back from the ZCCA Nationals in Daytona Beach last week, and I'm just starting to recover from the entire experience.

It was a great time, and I met so many new people.

I have now been to the MSA National, and the ZCCA Nationals. In comparison the MSA show is a great afternoon, but the ZCCA Nationals is a week of excitment.

When I found out tha the ZCCA Nationals we going to be in Florida. I promised myself that I would finish the restoration on the Primadonna Z and go. Only a few people over the last 25+ years have ever seen the car, that I really wanted to share the car with the Z community. Much has been speculated, and said over the years about the car that it seemed it was the perfect time to bring it out of hiding and let people, see and try to understand first hand.

I entered the Primadonna in the ZCCA judged car show in the Ultra Modified 240 class, and moved into the garage in an attempt to finish it before the convention. Well we finished at 7pm the night before the convention started, and loaded it into the trailer.

Frankly I didn't know what to expect at the show, and was a bit concerned about the response to the car.

Well things went great!

Not everybody loved it, but not everybody hated it either.

In the end the Primadonna won 1st Place at the show, Will captured the photograph I wanted, and I met some new friends.

It was a good week!

Roger,

You should make up a poster or four to tell this story on when you put her in a show. The story adds to the mystique of the car, and putting her history out there would let people know just how important the car is...and that her beauty isn't just skin deep!

Hi Will,

Not that I have had time lately, but I have always liked that idea. I think that history, and photo's (particurlarly photo's spanning years) make it interesting for guest. I guess my hesitation has always been where to put the display. I hate to put it where it impedes traffic, is tripped over or worse knocked into the car. At the same time the method of display needs to be easy to handle, and transport.

I have thought about a handout with some history, and pictures that people could have to take home. My problems with handouts are how you format, and condense the story, and still make it interesting.

I think that it's a great idea, I'm just trying to get comfortable with how to accomplish it. I'm open for ideas.
