February 17, 200718 yr comment_199606 This may sound stupid, but make sure if you changed any fuel lines... That's not a stupid suggestion at all-I've almost had the same thing happen to me-the guy at NAPA was more concerned about the conversation he was having on his phone than in the customer (me), and tried selling me carb only fuel line. It happens. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23288-a-question-for-the-efi-guys/?&page=2#findComment-199606 Share on other sites
February 17, 200718 yr comment_199616 "it was actually sucking the soft lines shut cutting off the fuel, and making bad fumes, like it was flooded" Thats odd ? Normally what happens is the standard fuel hose isn't able to handle the higher pressure used in a fuel injection system and they swell up then eventually burst. Not cool Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23288-a-question-for-the-efi-guys/?&page=2#findComment-199616 Share on other sites
February 19, 200718 yr Author comment_199828 Well i have found a NOS pump, but it's located in other town, i will check the hoses too, the car is mi daily driver but i only drive it for 40 minutes everyday and this time it's not enough for the car to fail, so i can deal with the problem until i have time and get the pump, once i change the pump and have checked the hoses and the rail, i'll let you know. Thank you to all of you for your answers, here in Colombia there is a gratefull guy...Camilo Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23288-a-question-for-the-efi-guys/?&page=2#findComment-199828 Share on other sites
