Posted February 16, 200718 yr comment_199463 The headlight acorns on my '72 240z are in bad shape. I have some decent acorns off a '75 280z. However, the wiring connections are different. Is there any way to remove the wiring from the '72 and put in the acorns from the '75 without cutting the wiring? There's a gromett the wiring goes thru, but it doesn't look like if the gromett was removed that the connector would go thru. Has anyone tried to remove this wiring with any success? February 16, 200718 yr comment_199468 It should fit thru if taken out from the front side, since the connector is smaller on opposite end of light bulb.... February 16, 200718 yr Author comment_199513 Neither connector will fit thru the hole in tha acorn. However, you can remove the connector that connects directly to the back of the headlight. You can use a small flat screw driver and remover each wire and then you can pull the wire through, the wire ends will easily clip back into the connector.
