Posted February 20, 200718 yr comment_199904 Hi all,I'm Greg in Dixon, CA (between Sacramento and Bay Area). I was actually given a '72 240z automatic by a realtive who knew I have admired Z's for years. :knockedou It runs fairly well (made the 300 mile trip from Santa Maria, CA to Dixon just fine), but the struts are shot. I've spent some time reading a number of postings in the tech area, and I am very impressed at the volume of knowledge and experience here. Thanks for maintaining this club. I am starting small by noodling with little details and just learning what kind of mess I've gotten into. I have one question I'd like to try to answer soon: on the fusebox cover, there are some warning indicator lights (seat belt, choke). Mine lacks the bulbs and I don't know what size to replace them with. Phillips lightbulbs lists the instrument bulbs as #1445, but the base is still too big for the fixture. I don't think I have an aftermarket item. Anybody have any ideas? (I'll post this question in the electrical forum as well.) Thanks again.Greg Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23346-enthusiastic-terrified-newbie/ Share on other sites
February 20, 200718 yr comment_199909 Hi Greg,Welcome to the club. I'm glad to welcome another member to the community! Your idea about posting the electrical questions to the electrical forum is a good one. We have many different forums related to various topics and it's always best to ask a few questions at a time. This will give you the best possible focus.Good luck with the car and I hope you enjoy your visits to our little home on the 'net.- Mike Gholson- Admin Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23346-enthusiastic-terrified-newbie/#findComment-199909 Share on other sites
