If you have any Heaps you'd like to share, PM them to me and I'll grant the honor once a week or as often as they're found.

But for now untill the end of next week if you have anything you like to share here with the rest of us,

go for it ^_^

My guess is that it spent a lot of time parked at the beach. I call tell you first hand that even a well taken care of car with good paint will suffer badly if parked for hours on a regular basis at or near the beach. All you have to do is take a look and the surfers' and beach hermits' cars. Honestly, it makes me nervous to live as close to the ocean as I do without a garage for my Z. That's something I hope to take care of in the next 6 months or so.

BTW, I'm pretty sure that's not a 1970 since is has the later style emblem/vent on the pillar.

Hugo gets my vote, since the only Hugo I know is incredibly inept with all things mechanical. Lucky for us, he's a fisherman south of Vera Cruz; not a car designer or builder.

Ah, Hugo... I could tell you a long story about taking his pickup truck through US Customs, but I won't.

As to the actual poll:

Datsun is Nissan

Mazda is owned by Ford

Dodge is Chrysler (K cars and all), and Dodge has interest in Daiwoo (Daewoo)

Kia is owned by Hyundai

Studebaker left the automaking industry in 1966, athough it has recently resurfaced in Georgia and makes @150 Hummer clones/year

Triumph cars were incredible, unless the Lucas electronics were acting up (and they always were), and their motorcycles are still among the best around

Fiat OWNS Ferrari-'nuff said

Chevy? GM should have been the option there, IMHO

and I believe that you meant to include Yugo, the short lived Yugoslavian import.

And regarding the car in the photo-at least the owner didn't do anything to attempt to hide the problems with the car.

They could have attempted to mask the bondo, maybe hit the car with some rattle cans...at least you know about where you stand with one

Good piont :stupid: I remember now it may 've been a '71 having an L28 though. Jus found this in my Flash drive file after wondering early today where my Favorite Heap of the Week photo went. When I first saw this pic I CRACKED UP laughing for weeks :knockedou

Chrysler (Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Jeep) is owned by Daimler. At least for now, rumour is they're looking to sell. Dragging Mercede's bottom line down I guess. GM also owns SAAB and a few others. Ford also owns Jaguar and I believe Landrover.
