Fellow Zcar website bashing

=Enigma=

Recommended Posts

You know, there seems to be more and more fellow Zcar website bashing going on lately, both here and on the other sites. Maybe it's always gone on and it's just my sensitivity level that's changed. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing like a little competition to keep things fresh and interesting, but I guess I'm just getting a little tired of hearing disparaging comments without any real substance. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and welcome to voice it if so inclined just like I'm doing here. But in my opinion, each has something to offer, as well as pros and cons. I just don't see the need to badmouth them. Anyway, I'd love to hear your opinions on this.

Personally, I appreciate all bashing of any and every website-as long as it ties up those people with enough surplus time to throw away doing it somewhere I don't ever go! I have no patience or time for any of that nonsence. Life is too full of things I want to do to waste time with that!

Hmm. I rarely visit any other Z-related forums, although I am a member of a couple others. But in general this is the one I frequent. I don't see a lot of bashing here, maybe because I'm selective about what threads I follow. If the others bash other sites, so be it. I don't see it, I guess they can do whatever they want.

The very nature of these cars has a lot to do with differing opinions. The original platform from the factory provided a unique, fun and inexpensive sports car. Some feel they should stay that way and some strive for maximum performance, no matter what it takes. These cars make a great starting point for doing just that. Most fall somewhere in between which is reflected in our recent Poll. I can't think of one single other vehicle that has a more diversified following. All ages and walks of life. Therefore, a more diversified use. It also spans the globe. There will always be differing opinions in every aspect. Some opinions are presented in a way that strikes a nerve and an ill first impression will be made. Its not always easy to get a point across no matter how legitimate it is and someone will take it the wrong way. There is absolutely nothing that everyone will agree on. Not even what most would perceive to be fact. Constructive criticism is our friend and will hash most topics out to give us the information needed to decide for ourselves. Some take criticism well and try to see the other viewpoint, others don't. All in all, civility reigns on this site and other Z car sites as well. I have visited them all in the quest for information and really enjoyed reading through the Hybrid Z site when this one was down for the server change. I often follow links to other sites. As far as I know, no one has been maimed or killed on the net yet over a disagreement. For the most part heated debates are short lived. In my case, tolerence came with age and most everthing bounces right off now. Then again I don't know sh!t anyways, so who am I to argue? :D

There are other Z-related websites?

Kidding aside, I don't spend any time on other sites so I don't know what's out there, so, I can't express an opinion.

I do know that a website should be used as it is intended... another tool.

In reality, these places are social playgrounds and care should be taken. Anything said in a forum should be said as if you're standing directly face-to-face. Too many times we have forgotten that... here and on other forums.

PS: I also know that it is IMPOSSIBLE for everyone to get along. Controlling behavior is certainly difficult on a forum.
