Posted July 21, 200222 yr comment_11024 from one end to the other. what is the trunk sizelegth, width, and height. I am guessing that then trunk is smaller at one end then the other so include that in the measurments. But if someone can run out to their car and check that would be awsome Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2350-what-is-the-size-of-the-trunk-in-a-240z/ Share on other sites

July 21, 200222 yr comment_11051 Well believe it or not it's big enough to hold my golf clubs (in my golf bag of course), my pull cart, a cooler that holds a 12-pack, and golf shoes. Not bad for such a small sports car. July 22, 200222 yr comment_11092 The Z trunk is exactly big enough to haul (independantly tested by Timberolf):-2 children no larger than 100lbs each.-1 great dane (although he will drool).-6 large grocery bags.-8 if you stack them very tightly.-4 full sized computer monitors.-1 swingset (but it will hang out the back).-18 good sized firewood logs (but be prepared to pick up bark).-7 office sized water jugs (found out the hard way - cap 'em).-6 friends (based off that old VW gag but don't expect comfort).-55 gallon aquarium (no fish, no water).-6 assorted Z heads with cam.-2 full sized Sears wet-vacs-carpeting for my office (approx 10'x8')-1/2 of my wifes shoe collection (Okay not actually true but I've been teasing her). July 22, 200222 yr Author comment_11101 my dad wants me to buy a chevy cavalier and keeps coming up with arguments on why the car is so much better than a Z. He was arguing that the trunk was bigger in the cavalier (much bigger is what he said). So I measured it, just to find out that the Z can hold bigger things in tword the front of the trunk. The Z trunk is longer and has only slightly shorter dimintions to the rest of the car. then he pulled out the BS that the back seat can be moved and the back two seats and the trunk can be used as storage. Oh, If you guys have any other info like mpg, and things like that so I may spark more flames tword the one day of owning a Z that would be great. July 22, 200222 yr comment_11102 If your Dad wants you to by something else you can always tell him what my Mom always told me... "you can want in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up first" :stupid: ...and why is he so concerned about trunk space? Are you connected with the MOB? :classic: Anyway, maybe you can entice him by telling him you will let him drive it - in fact, let him test drive it - he will be so excited about the experience he will probably offer to buy it for you Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2350-what-is-the-size-of-the-trunk-in-a-240z/#findComment-11102 Share on other sites
July 22, 200222 yr comment_11112 He might have already ~made~ the deal with a friend of his who is selling a Cavalier and your Dad is just hoping that you will like the gift. At which point you need to consider if you are willing to save to buy your own Z while upsetting your Dad, or accept his gift, have some transportation and STILL save up the money to buy a Z. July 23, 200222 yr Author comment_11146 naw, he owns the cavalier. He is worried about trunk space because I am a college student and thinks that I would be better off if I could carry more. I looked up the specs of both vehicles and the 240Z wins all the things like engine and displacment size. But It is Not a Z and that is what is important. At least to me :classic:. One of his main arguments is that an old car like a Z would not be a dependable daily driver. Also the fact of the initial price and insurance would be to high. What I dont get is, why if I have the money cant I get the car. Anyway, thanks all of you. Kepp me posted if you think of any great ideas on what to say Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2350-what-is-the-size-of-the-trunk-in-a-240z/#findComment-11146 Share on other sites
